How to install an electric motor in a blind with winch

Each time a client asked me that you were installing an electric motor and I was with a shutter operated by a crank around me happy with life, I say this so easy and fun it is to replace an engine lathe.

Unlike blinds with slats or cords, those winches make it easy electric motor installation because their mechanisms are embedded in the wall and saves time and effort when connecting the motor to the switch or button . Maybe some of you think I'm ticking a little vague but I assure you that the difference is a considerable delay of execution, and we all know time is money.

Then I explain how to carry out this change and if they read my previous posts where I explain how to do the same tapes operated blinds and cords, include the introduction of the article:

1-Remove all the accessories of the blind:

To this must lower the blind fully turning the crank of the winch, access to the manhole cover and unhook the straps of the shaft, then remove the drive cable and draw the axis of the log removed, remove the supports of this axis and finally unscrewing the recessed winch mechanism and removed from the hole in the wall.

2-Calculate the weight of the blind:

Given the variety of models depending on the power offered by the market to choose the ideal engine we must first know the weight of the blind, if carries a winch will be rather heavy. This we calculate by multiplying the width by height, and a coefficient depending on the material (PVC, wood, aluminum, etc..). That way, we will buy the engine fitted to our needs, without unnecessary expenses wasted potential.

Then we measure the diameter of the shaft, the shafts are usually octagonal section and has 40 or 60 mm in diameter. This, in addition to conditioning the maximum weight supported by the engine, determines the need adapters. . It is advisable when purchasing the motor and the shaft that complemented the den and so avoids the risk of damage. (The motor is inserted into the shaft)

They must also decide whether to trigger the shutter with a remote control or by a button. In the market engines with integrated receiver, which can be activated with a remote control or normal engines, and without the receptor, which is operated with a switch and are cheaper.

3 - Install electric motor wiring:

First you have to bring electricity to the filing of the blind, using race, tappets or if they have any record about the best window, you use 3 wires (brown, black Azuly), then place the box or push button switch where was the winch mechanism, this hole is usually somewhat different than that required for the box, in any case the operation is simple and only need to use plaster to finish the placement.

Place 4-axle supports (and with the engine inside):

To this should position the support plate (circular or rectangular) on the end that was the front axle drive, usually is screwed, the support for the other end can be the same as was posted earlier, the important thing is that you can keep bearing for the shaft to rotate more easily.

Place 5-axis (and with the engine inside) on the supports:

Should first check the shaft and measure the distance between supports, should be correct to place the new shaft with the engine built on them, if not so carefully cut the loop to keep it on the correct size.

6-Install the electric motor:

Once set the shaft (motor incorporated) in place should wire the motor with the switch box to this feed wires through the tube using a recessed winch cable glands and once they have gone out into the end bottom of the tube connecting them, keep in mind that the motor has 4 wires, green is the earth, the blue interface, brown and black up / down, it is important not to make mistakes as they could damage the connected motor.Ya check the motor cable has electricity, when you operate the switch or control the east-CLACK CLACK should do.

7-Regular tours and trailing electric motor, depending on how it is operated (remote control or switch) the steps are different:

Engine 7.1-powered electric switch or button:

Tour down:

Press the button yellow or white on the end of the engine (part of the down arrow), then press down the switch, do it until the shade down completely and finally you press the yellow button of motor, the shutter is done automatically regulated to stop when going down at that point that regulated.

Rise Tour:

Press the yellow or white button which is present on motor end (part of the arrow up), then press the switch rise, do it until the shade fully up being careful not to pass your site ie not exceeding the breadth of the window or enter completely into the drawer, if properly re-press the yellow button engine, the shutter is done automatically regulated to stop when going up at that point that regulated .

Note: Depending on the engine button or buttons to adjust these routes vary, there are others which slots instead of buttons, in this case use a plastic tool provided by the supplier of MOTR with which regulates the routes.

Finally place the strips of the shutter to the shaft, bear in mind that the engine is inside the shaft, so that one end will be cumbersome to put these strips, cut the tip would be nice and come mejor.Muy so important: DO NOT USE SCREWS TO ATTACH THE BLIND SHAFT.

7.2-powered electric motor by remote control:

First you have to check the voltage, press the button up and down at once, if you clack-clack is correct, to switch to the blind turn up in their normal course MY press.

To memorize the route of ascent MY and press the button down (DO IT until the shade up completely, taking care not to pass from their site), and of course MY down and key up (DO IT up the shade down completely), if well, then click to save MY and closes a small button link programming having command in the back.
