The strips are an essential accessory for the operation of the blinds because through them the same panels are held to the shafts or rollers, so needless to say that caring for the operation of your blinds involves preserving the health of the strips.
A strapping are also known as hooks or straps, and are sometimes incorrectly supplanted by pieces of old tapes or cords tied wrong. My personal opinion is to never do that, although the opposite this led to many roller shutter to ensure that the tape is better than the strip, then I explain my reasons:
1-Well truth is that the tape helps greatly when the shutter is wound to the axis but, being the duct tape, never have the same durability as the plastic strap or metálico.Muchos wonder if replacing the old band by new one does not solve this problem, the truth is, if but temporarily.
2-To attach the tape is necessary to break the first slat, unlike the strip that is guided by the rib of the same. This clear that alter the structure of the first slat is not advisable in view that the rest of the panel the shutter is attached to this lama.
3-To attach the tape to shaft screws are used and because the shaft is hollow, the pitch of the screws tend ancharse bringing the tape is released. Unlike the strip that is inserted into the groove of the shaft for your eyelashes, rarely strapping screwed and in any case is better remacharlos, so we make sure they never escape the hook (this is common in motorized blinds .)
That said I think I have enough reasons to ensure that no doubt that the use of the straps are much better than the pieces of tape about.

Placement of these types of straps and braces:
-Those in category 1, 2 and 3 are guided by nerivios of the slats of the blinds, present at one end and without forcing slide them down the lane, once placed at both ends push the end of the straps and suspenders in the shaft groove.
